Course Description

Students must be enrolled in English Foundations 1 to enroll in this highly recommended but optional add-on.

The Language Arts Lab is a weekly “virtual hangout” where English Foundations 1 students receive individualized assistance from Mrs. Loran and collaboration time with peers.

In this weekly session, Mrs. Loran will work with students to go over any homework or tests, work on grammar, revise rough drafts, and anything else that is needed. We will be able to dive deeper into the concepts taught in class together and have ample time to ask questions and work together on concepts that need extra reinforcement.

This is a great way for students to work on time management before they get to high school. A little accountability goes a long way, and this class will help hold students accountable for getting their work completed and also add that little extra touch of individual help.

We have created Language Arts Labs to give parents an additional option for ensuring their students acquire strong writing and reading comprehension skills for upper-level high school work and learn time management and study skills. This is an optional class for students of English Foundations 1 but it is highly recommended.
