Description
This interactive course is a supplemental speaking and listening lab designed for students registered in Spanish 3 or Spanish 4. Spanish 3/4 Language Lab is an advanced-level course designed to reinforce and refine students’ proficiency in Spanish through immersive, interactive practice. This lab focuses on real-world communication skills, listening comprehension, pronunciation, and spontaneous speech.
Course activities include pronunciation exercises, listening comprehension, role-plays, reading practice, and class discussion. Students will develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities in a dynamic and supportive environment. This course aims to build students’ confidence in their speaking ability and assure them that communicating in Spanish is within their grasp!
Course Structure
This class is conducted via weekly live interactive meetings. The lab complements instruction by emphasizing pronunciation, conversation, and comprehension. There will be a heavy emphasis on class participation, so attendance is highly encouraged. However, class sessions will be recorded and available for students who are occasionally unable to attend. In addition to the one-hour live class, approximately one hour of response homework will be given per week. A quarter credit will be awarded for the successful completion of each semester.

Whether reinforcing classroom lessons or preparing for real-world communication, this course offers a fun, engaging space to build Spanish fluency! Students must be enrolled in Spanish 3 or Spanish 4.
The lab provides a supportive, collaborative environment where students can take risks, practice advanced structures, and polish their spoken and written Spanish.

- Streaming video capabilities to watch recorded lectures
Evaluation and Feedback
This class emphasizes participation and is not meant to burden students with additional assignments or assessments. Assignments will enhance students’ understanding of concepts and help them master the vocabulary and grammatical structures learned.
