Kelly Tobias has been a public high school teacher for over 22 years, with experience teaching all grades 9-12. She currently specializes in teaching AP Seminar and AP Literature. She received her BA in English and her teaching certification from Washington and Jefferson College, and her MA as a Reading Specialist from California University of Pennsylvania. She is scheduled to complete her DA in English Literature and Pedagogy through Murray State University in May of 2026. Kelly has also worked as an instructional coach for the National Math and Science Initiative, running both student workshops and online training courses for AP Literature teachers. She is also an AP Exam Scorer for AP Seminar, a role that provides her with a deeper understanding of all components of the end-of-course assessment and valuable insights she can share with her students. When she is not busy with her many roles in education, Kelly loves to read, cook, and bake. She also loves to travel with her husband and enjoys creating beautiful scrapbooks to commemorate their adventures. Kelly is a passionate teacher whose focus is on creating a student-centered learning environment that meets learners where they are and helps them to grow and flourish. She is grateful to have found her calling as an educator and hopes to continue inspiring and helping others discover their unique potential.
