This course does exceed my expectations so far because it is more thorough than I expected it to be. Mrs. de Pineda is very knowledgeable and wants to be sure that the students are learning Spanish and can apply it, not just read it and move on.
Parent, Spanish 2 and Spanish 2/3 Language Lab – October 1, 2025
I’m learning far more about Spanish than I expected and am getting the hang of using the language quite quickly. I’m biased as a language nerd, but I really love this subject, and I find it really interesting. The classes are the perfect mixture of lecture and student engagement.
This class’s greatest benefit, in my opinion, is the real world skills it gives me to bridge language barriers. I live in Southern California, and Spanish comes in handy quite frequently (I can actually read my street signs now!). Additionally, I find learning about the inner-workings of language to be helpful in general; I never knew what an infinitive was in English, or how many tenses there were in English, until I took Spanish.

We weren’t sure where to do the language classes for high school, as it isn’t something I can teach! AIM has been a good choice, the teacher seems involved and the materials seem to be of good quality so far. Being able to have a class discuss and speak a new language is the only way to learn to speak it

My child seems to be enjoying the class so far and likes Ms. Pineda. He doesn’t find the work to be overwhelming and looks forward to class each week. When my child has a question, she is quick to respond and offer assistance. My child says the class is enjoyable and engaging. I just want to say thank you to Ms. Pineda for being quick to respond to emails with students when they are having trouble. Not only does it help my child know his teacher is accessible when he is working on Spanish assignments, but it also builds his confidence to communicate when he doesn’t understand a concept.
