Spanish 3/4 Language Lab

This interactive course is a supplemental speaking and listening lab designed for students registered in  Spanish 3. Spanish 3/4 Language Lab is an advanced-level course designed to reinforce and refine students’ proficiency in Spanish through immersive, interactive practice. This lab focuses on real-world communication skills, listening comprehension, pronunciation, and spontaneous speech.

Course Structure

Students will engage in various activities, including conversation practice, listening to authentic Spanish audio and video materials, interactive grammar review, and vocabulary enrichment. Emphasis is placed on fluency, accuracy, and confidence in speaking. Lab sessions also incorporate cultural exploration, student presentations, and role-plays to deepen linguistic and cultural understanding.

Who should enroll?

This course is ideal for students who have a strong fluency in Spanish 3 or have previously finished Spanish 3 or higher. Feel free to contact the instructor if you have questions about which language lab your student would feel most comfortable in.  The lab provides a supportive, collaborative environment where students can take risks, practice advanced structures, and polish their spoken and written Spanish.

Technology Requirements

• High-speed, broadband Internet
• Sound card and microphone (for live sessions)
• Streaming video capabilities to watch recorded lectures

Evaluation and Feedback

This class focuses on participation and is not meant to burden students with additional assignments and assessments. Assignments will enhance students’ understanding of concepts and help them attain mastery of the vocabulary and grammatical concepts learned.
